Download INAV

INAV is an open source flight controller software that is used to configure RubiQ. Each RubiQ must be fully assembled and configured to be ready for flight.

INAV is available for Windows and Mac. RubiQ’s with the yellow motor connectors are only compatible with version 1.9.3 of the INAV configurator, which must be downloaded directly from rubiq.edventures.com/file-downloads/. The version of the INAV configurator on the Chrome Web Store is incompatible with RubiQ.

There are two sets of instructions below. One for computers running Windows operating systems, and one for Mac OS X operating systems. Please use the set of instructions appropriate for your operating system.

For Windows devices:

  1. Download the INAV-configurator-1.9.3.zip file from rubiq.edventures.com/file-downloads under the INAV – Configurator Download tab.
  2. Navigate to the downloads folder of your computer or the folder to which your downloaded content is typically sent.
  3. Find the downloaded ZIP file that begins with INAV configurator. Right-click the zipped folder icon and select “extract all.” This will bring up a sub-menu asking you to select a destination for the extracted files. Press the “extract” button at the bottom.
  4. A new file window will appear with a folder containing a series of component files for INAV.
  5. Open the INAV Configurator Folder and double-click the inav-configurator application.
  6. When first launched, INAV will ask if you would like to update. Do not update. Simply close this window and proceed. Updating to the current version of INAV will cause compatibility issues between RubiQ and INAV.

It is essential that you download VCP drivers, which facilitate the connection between RubiQ and your computer’s ports, directly from the following link:
