Pre-Arming Check

Once you’ve finished the first 9 steps of the Configuration Guide, it’s time to take RubiQ through a Pre-Arming Check. If you haven’t finished the first 9 steps, please go back and complete those before proceeding.

To begin, connect RubiQ to INAV.

    • Review the Pre-arming Checks section on the right-hand side of the window. All items should be marked green except Navigation is Safe and Compass Calibrated.
    • Navigation is Safe will almost always be red because it reflects whether RubiQ has achieved the minimum GPS connections necessary for flight, a task which is difficult while connecting to INAV while indoors.
    • Compass Calibrated will show red if you haven’t calibrated your compass yet.
    • The Pre-Arming Checks determine if RubiQ’s flight controller has been set-up properly during the calibration process. Review their descriptions in INAV or with the above video for more information on what each check means.
    • Review the Hardware Health indicator bar at the top of the page. If a component is showing a red box, that means it has likely been damaged and is non-functional. If you have any components showcasing a red indicator, contact PCS Edventures at rubiq.edventures.com/support for drone assistance.
